Full Job Description

We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Speech & Language Therapist (Band 5) to join our Learning Disability Team in the heart of London. Our Multidisciplinary Teams provide community-based services to adults with learning disabilities, aged 18 years and above, across Kensington & Chelsea, Hammersmith & Fulham, and Westminster. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic SLT to deliver communication input, with a focus on developing dysphagia skills, to improve the health of people with learning disabilities. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop skills and experience in a community setting, in line with national policy and evidence-based practice guidance. We provide a well-established SLT service, offering numerous opportunities for professional development within a supportive and collaborative team environment. Join us and make a difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities!, Provide high-quality clinical SLT services to people with learning disability health needs within the TriBorough Learning Disabilities Service. Conduct specific assessments and interventions with adults with learning disabilities, as delegated by a senior SLT. Manage a caseload and work independently in various settings to support adults with learning disabilities. Support and collaborate with SLT Assistants and SLT students to implement therapy programs. Carry out standardised and bespoke SLT assessments and interventions in home, clinic, or community settings. Provide written reports detailing assessment outcomes and treatment goals. Work under the guidance of a senior SLT to ensure Band 5 competencies are met., Interview arrangements will be communicated via email so please check your email regularly following the closing date.
