Speech and Language Therapist (Maternity Leave Cover)

The position is for a Speech and Language Therapist with Neurological experience, to cover a maternity leave at The Bridge, a specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service in Middlesbrough. The successful candidate will work 16.5 hours per week, leading therapeutic group sessions and managing a caseload to help people develop and improve their speech and communication. They will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, receive support from healthcare professionals, and have access to training to support their career goals., The Speech and Language Therapist will demonstrate specialist skills in dealing with complex cases, cultural and linguistic differences, and generate appropriate strategies for caseload management. They will undertake audits and contribute to research in the provision of treatments. The role requires HCPC registration, experience in managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia, experience of working with families, and evidence of continuing professional development.
