Would you like to be part of a large, dynamic, integrated children's therapy service? Then come and join HIOWH NHS Foundation Trust.

We have developed an integrated model of working with therapy teams increasingly working together to provide holistic models of care. In addition excellent working relationships with early years, schools, health and social care colleagues is allowing us to share our expertise more widely and create innovative ways of working together to better meet the needs of both the child and their family.

We have a telephone advice line and a Schools Therapy Resource Pack and we run regular INSET training to empower families, pre-schools and schools to support children at a universal and targeted level to develop their functional, physical and communication needs .

We value our staff highly and offer full induction, clinical supervision and appraisal, CPD opportunities and professional, clinical, managerial and peer support., HIOWH NHS Foundation Trust Integrated Children's Therapy service is for children aged 0-19 who experience challenges with physical disability, daily functional activities, eating and drinking skills, speech, language and communication.

This is a community service delivered in children's homes, pre-school settings, Children's Centres, mainstream schools, special schools, and community clinics.

Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists work together with children and their families as part of multi-agency teams with Health Care professionals across acute and community services, education, social care colleagues and equipment providers, to enable children achieve their therapy goals.

We're looking for an experienced, innovative and proactive Speech and Language Therapist, with Level C Dysphagia competencies, to come and join our friendly, supportive Southampton City Children's Therapies Team.

You will support infants, children and their families with eating and drinking difficulties and will have great support and supervision from highly specialist therapists from our Trust-wide Dysphagia team.

The post is part time. Good communication skills with children, families and professionals is essential. Own transport essential.
