Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity within our Adult Speech and Language Therapy Team for an enthusiastic and motivated Speech and Language Therapy Support Practitioner.

The role will provide support to the Speech and Language Therapy Adult Services. This is inclusive of Stroke, General Medicine, Community, ENT, Head and Neck. For example (but not limited to) delivering therapy and creating resources for patient care.

If you are looking for a new challenge and would like to be part of a progressive and supportive team, please do get in touch as we would love to hear from you!, Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) support individuals who are experiencing difficulties with communication and swallowing.

The successful applicant will provide support to SLTs across community and acute inpatient services. This includes preparing intervention materials and delivering on-going input to identified patients with support and supervision as needed. The post-holder will have a chance to work alongside the SLT assisting with groups and support therapy programmes.

This post-holder will have strong communication, IT and organisational skills. Previous experience of working with elderly people/adults within a hospital or community setting is desirable.
