Would you want to join The Bexley Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Team, winners of the Children and Young People's Directorate Team of the Year award 2021?, In this role you will support assessment and development of children's speech, language and communication skills. You will work in nurseries and schools with groups, pairs and one-to-one with children, and offer support and advice to parents, carers and health and education colleagues. You may make occasional home visits with another member of the team.

You will have the skills to work independently, to demonstrate speech and language interventions with parents, carers and education staff, following a care plan devised by the Speech and Language Therapist. You will communicate with other professionals about the care plan. You will take part in developing and delivering training to education colleagues.

In addition, the role involves supporting the preparation of materials for delivery of therapy programmes, plus administrative and organisational duties to support the smooth running of the service. IT skills for electronic records and reports are required.
