Full Job Description
2 x Assistant SLT (band 4): 37.5 hour per week for 12 months .
These roles are based in our Early Intervention SLT team providing early advice and support to children and families across Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire.
As an assistant speech and language therapist in the team you will be delivering HomeTalk and other speech and language interventions to children and families. You will also be supporting our SLT's at drop-in clinics, groups and on our newly launched telephone advice line.
This is an opportunity to join our innovative Speech and Language Therapy service at an exciting time of transformation. You will be well supported and supervised by Specialist SLT's, with many opportunities for peer support.
Working across settings such as children's homes, clinics, community venues, nurseries and schools, you will have extensive relevant experience of working with young children. You will have a relevant qualification at equivalent level of NVQ Level 3 and be able to demonstrate an ability to work flexibly, motivate others, show initiative, and work as part of a team under the direction of a Speech & Language Therapist. You should have a working knowledge of safeguarding children.
You will be responsible for managing your own clinical diary, so strong organisation and prioritisation skills are needed.
You will be working within a supportive team that are committed to your personal development through appraisal and clinical supervision. You will have support and CPD opportunities across the Children's Speech & Language Therapy service.
