Full Job Description

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Sport and Behaviour Mentors to join our team in NG8. The ideal candidates will have a background in sports, along with a desire to work within a Primary school setting, providing mentorship and support to students.
Responsibilities:
+ Provide one-on-one and group mentorship sessions to students, focusing on sports engagement and behavioural development.
+ Assist in the planning and delivery of sports-related activities and programs within the school.
+ Support students in developing positive behaviour and social skills both inside and outside the classroom.
+ Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to create personalized support plans for students.
+ Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
+ Act as a positive role model for students, promoting teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.
Basic Requirements

+ Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in a sports-related discipline (e.g., sports coaching, physical education).
+ Experience working with children or young people in a coaching, mentoring, or educational setting.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
+ Understanding of safeguarding principles and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people.
+ Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to the needs of secondary school students and the school environment.
+ Flexibility to work school hours and occasional evenings to support Parent's Evenings.
Desired Qualifications (not essential but beneficial):
+ Level 3 qualification or higher in a sports-related discipline.
+ Experience working with students with behavioural or learning needs.
+ First Aid certification.
+ Knowledge of additional sports or physical activities.
