Job Summary: For this industry funded project, you will be responsible for organising and coordinating the collection of high-quality, synchronous, multicamera video data across multiple exclusive real-world environments (capture volumes). Each capture volume requires a minimum of 24 cameras, and you will collect multiple participants completing a variety of activities of daily living (e.g., walk, jog, run, jump, hop, skip). You will work with Dr's Rich Foster and Karl Gibbon to collect, process, and share the data that is collected with our industry partners. You will also contribute to research that aligns with the Biomechanics Research Group within the Research Institute., Research

  • Undertake the collection of research data; this may be through a variety of research
  • methods, such as scientific experimentation, literature reviews, and research interviews.
  • Ensure that full and accurate documentation is kept for all work and ensure that all policies
  • and processes, including quality assurance, are maintained and adhered to.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of papers for presentation at regional, national
  • or international conferences and for publication in peer review journals.
  • Carry out administrative tasks related to the delivery of the research, planning work to
  • agreed specifications, time and quality standards.
  • Deal with problems that may affect the achievement of research objectives and deadlines
  • Maintain high standards of academic and commercial confidentiality. Comply with relevant
  • protocols regarding data confidentiality and security.
  • Develop skills in relevant research methodologies.
  • Attend and contribute to research/subject group meetings.
  • Engage with and participate in the University's appraisal process as reviewer and/or
  • reviewee, as appropriate.

  • You will be responsible for organising and coordinating the collection of high-quality

  • You will be responsible for handling large data sets, organising data, and sharing data on
  • a weekly basis with external industry partners.
  • You will provide administrative support and contribute to the preparation of results for
  • internal/external audiences.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the grade as deemed necessary by your line
  • manager.
