Salary: Salary: Scale R3 12 - 18: £22,315.15 - £23,880.47 per annum (FTE £26,060 - £27,888.00)
Location: Grafham Grange School, Horsham Road, Grafham, Guildford. GU5 0LH
Working Pattern: 36 hours per week, Term Time only, Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 4.15pm, Friday 8.30am - 4pm
Grafham Grange School is a special school for 70 students aged 10 to 16 with social, emotional and mental health as their primary identified need. It is situated in 42 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside in Bramley offering significant opportunities for outdoor learning.
The school offers a curriculum that covers academic and practical subjects allowing all students to find their talents and strengths whilst focusing on the skills they need to build better futures. The bespoke approach to learning means students grow in self-confidence and are prepared to take their next steps in their lives after school.
We have an exciting opportunity to support our PE department in delivering high-quality sports education and promoting physical fitness among our students.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist PE teachers in planning and conducting sports lessons and activities
· Supervise students during sports activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment
· Help organise school sports events and competitions
· Maintain and manage sports equipment and facilities
· Encourage and motivate students to participate in physical activities
Key Requirements:
· Passion for sports and physical education
· English and Mathematics at GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent
· Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEMH needs
