Full Job Description

The Sports Nutritionist will be responsible for planning, delivering and reviewing sports nutrition programmes underpinned by sound scientific knowledge for teams and individual athletes. As part of this role you will work alongside other members of the sports services team and specialists from other areas of sports science to successfully provide a holistic athletic development service to Oxford's student athletes.
Working as part of the Sports Federation team you will provide the highest level of service to selected University sports teams and individual students through the Blues Performance Scheme, Oxford University's high-performance sport support service. Support offered through the Blues Performance Scheme (BPS) incorporates strength and conditioning, sport psychology, sports nutrition, subsidised physiotherapy, lifestyle support; with other administrative assistance being provided by the wider Sports Federation team.
This role will be heavily delivery focussed, which will include workshop delivery and 1:1 consultation, and will include evening and unsociable hours work. Other non-delivery work time distributed between planning/reviewing programmes, communicating with partner bodies and other administrative tasks associated with the delivery of nutrition support to student athletes. The workload will be higher during University terms, hence the annualised hours nature of the part-time contract.
This is a part-time (0.35 FTE) fixed term contract until 31 July 2025.
