Full Job Description

  • You will have a questioning mind, not accepting of answers at face value, you will seek to obtain corroborating evidence for information received.

  • Review reporting methods and processes, maximising the opportunity to automate wherever possible.

  • Act as a key point of contact for both regulatory and operational reporting.

    You will be an experienced data analyst with a proven track record in BI, data manipulation and problem solving. You'll have experience in building relationships and mentoring junior members of a team. The role will require you to be a strong communicator, both written and verbally, with the ability to convey key information in a variety of digestible formats, providing delivery timescales and using strong stakeholder management skills to communicate these .


  • Knowledge of the Energy industry would be beneficial but not essential,
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL for data analysis (MS-SQL/Databricks - T-SQL, View and table design, Experience of ETL)

  • Strong technical analytical skills as a Data Analyst

  • Managing and manipulating data experience

  • Stakeholder management and facilitation of decisions of all sizes

  • Strong presentation skills for engaging senior stakeholders

  • Ability to handle high pressure situations


  • Essential:

  • Writing complex SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation across multiple tables / data sources.

  • Selected candidates will undergo a practical SQL test to assess proficiency. At a minimum applicants will require a comprehensive understanding of query Joins and its application within SQL queries.

  • A resilient 'can do' attitude. Demonstrating persistence to work through complex problems independently.

  • The role is Hybrid and requires the successful candidate to work in the Stroud (UK) office 3 days per week with the remaining days working from home.

  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy in delivery to requirements.
