Full Job Description

This position will be embedded in a strong existing IT Business Intelligence team, responsible for supporting the development of value added solutions within the Group. You'll be responsible for the maintenance and development of both the on-premise and Microsoft Azure SQL estate. You'll also be responsible for deploying testing methodologies to ensure quality and accuracy of software and BI developments. Make use of existing technical skills and develop new skills, to utilise appropriate tools/ methodologies to develop, document, test and debug systems/ databases in accordance with company methodologies, policies and procedures. Some responsibilities include:

  • Responsible to review and evaluate existing system/ platform design for possible enhancement or upgrade.
  • Routinely search for innovative ways to improve existing systems or procedures.
  • Responsible for undertaking and leading work involved in large- and small-scale Delivery projects, such as SQL replication and on premise to cloud migrations.
  • Support development team with SQL expertise to ensure database designs/ queries are efficient, scalable and support reporting.
  • Support BI & Development team with system & report testing.
  • Maintain security setup on Tableau platform
  • Communicate well and build relationships with key users within the business.
  • Establish check points at regular intervals to verify efficacy and efficiency of the work in progress.

    Ideally educated to bachelor's degree in a related field.
