Full Job Description

Responsible for creating new thought leadership, the on-time completion of presentations or components of large, complex presentations for clients in the pharmaceutical or related industries, and for presenting these pieces to clients. Responsible for generating internal and external awareness of new thought leadership content to maximise its impact, by engaging closely with the relevant IQVIA businesses and country organisations., Participates or leads teams in the design, development and delivery of thought leadership client engagements. Capable of rapidly becoming a fluent and impressive presenter. Reviews and analyzes pharmaceutical industry issues and makes sophisticated use of the IQVIA data and other information resources to develop distinctive and insightful points of view on relevant pharmaceutical industry issues that help to engage clients and generate business. Provides direction and guidance to Analysts and Consultants within the Thought leadership team and the relevant IQVIA businesses, as appropriate. Designs, structures and delivers client reports and presentations that are appropriate to the characteristics or needs of the audience. Recommends improvements and alternative solutions to resolve problems. May identify new business opportunities of follow-on work and new leads at assigned client. Provides follow-up with client after presentation deliverable has been completed to ensure client
satisfaction.

Senior Consultants will proactively develop broader and deeper knowledge of the pharmaceutical market through on the job experience and participating in training opportunities. Develops specific subject matter expertise. Is an effective and well regarded presenter in a range of public speaking and client meeting situations.

  • Bachelor's degree with demonstrated related experience in consulting, ideally within pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry.

  • Strong project management, client influencing skills, with a demonstrated experience in building/developing client relationships at senior and executive level.

  • Current good knowledge of, an interest in, and desire to learn more about, the global pharmaceutical industry. Demonstrable experience in generating original ideas and content on pharmaceutical industry issues.

  • Previous experience of working within a consulting role, ideally within the life science sector.,

  • A strong analytic skillset, and the ability to create professionally presented, well-structured PowerPoint decks.


  • The experience may have been gained in one of the following environments:
  • Pharmaceutical or other Healthcare Industry;

  • Academic Organisation;

  • Health Technology Assessment Group;

  • Health Services Research or leading Consulting firm

  • Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the IQVIA organization to accomplish team goals and is effective working in a matrix environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, juggle priorities and deliver on tight deadlines.

  • Knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools and techniques related to functional area.

  • Knowledge of key issues and current developments in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries is preferrable, in particular about commercialisation and go-to-market.

  • Excellent presentation, communication and client influencing skills.
