As a Sr. Engagement Manager on the Office of AWS Global Services VP team, you will act as a trusted advisor to our most strategic customers and help them scope new opportunities for growth by leveraging AWS. You will collaborate cross-functionally across Amazon teams to identify net new opportunities and interface with internal and external leaders to secure their buy-in for strategic initiatives.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop deep, trusted relationships with customer leadership, gaining a comprehensive understanding of their challenges, goals, and long-term vision.

  • Act as trusted advisor and thought leader to the GS leadership in the development of commercial strategy and deals.

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify new collaboration and growth opportunities for AWS, exploring emerging trends, technologies, and customer demands.

  • Drive Governance for strategic customer accounts while providing visibility to leadership on friction points and blockers.

  • Build strong internal relationships with leaders and counterparts across Amazon's diverse set of businesses including Product, Sales, Partner Programs, Operations, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and senior management.

  • Work with data to measure business impact, strategic costs and benefits of partnerships. Create scalable mechanisms, driving operational excellence.

    Bachelor's degree

  • - Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
    - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
    - 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience, Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
    - Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
    - MBA
