Full Job Description

Support daily, weekly and monthly International Fleet processes. Work closely with Fleet managers, finance and operations management to insure company's Fleet operate smoothly, cost-effectively, and in compliance with regulations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of fleet management processes. This person must:

  • Learn the rules, processes and drivers that affect the overall Fleet equipment, financials and reporting
  • Maintain an accurate vehicle fleet database and ensuring our Fleet Service Providers are regularly updated
  • Issue order numbers to suppliers as per our SLA with them
  • Review Invoices from suppliers for SLA compliance
  • Regularly reviewing Invoices from lease vendors for vehicle rental / hire charges and database uniformity
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret Fleet data to track performance, cost, and efficiency. This includes fuel consumption, maintenance costs, mileage, downtime, and sustainability initiatives. Create reporting to provide insights to management and suggest improvements.
  • Interact with all levels of the organization to analyze and report on variances from Fleet Tracking and supporting process'
  • Coordinate with vendors and management on regular maintenance and repairs to ensure vehicles remain in safe, working condition. This could include scheduling maintenance to minimize downtime and prevent costly breakdowns.
  • Recommend internal process optimization improvements to improve decision making and fleet cost
  • Work with all outside Vendors regarding Fleet Related issues and improvements.
  • Key Job Activities: Create and implement communication plans to ensure frequent, accurate and timely communication to all field stakeholders and to solidify commitment to the Fleet strategic roadmap. Consistently monitors asset utilization across the fleet - managing driven miles against rated miles (over-under mileage). Directs and Tracks movement of vehicles to new locations as business needs change. Proactively manages usage of long-term rentals to keep variable costs low. Provide analysis on telematics, fuel management, truck on-boarding, asset tracking, asset utilization and asset specifications. This role will provide a strategic approach to improving overall fleet efficiency through consistent execution of assets across all areas and implementing technology based programs for tracking and reporting. Performs other related duties as required or requested. This includes but is not limited to providing support to finance and / or other teams and special projects as needed.

    Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Business or a related experience equivalent. Minimum of Five years of experience in logistics/transportation function/industry, fleet, etc. Background in fleet management and coordinating initiatives within Transportation. Excellent analytical and computer skills with experience utilizing analytical tools and databases Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products. Adapt at learning new technical skills and software quickly. The person will be a highly motivated individual with a commercial awareness, competent financial knowledge and extensive operational experience. An excellent communicator. Outstanding people skills with ability to build up relationships at a variety of levels both internally and externally. A proactive disciplined organised self-starter who can work unsupervised and recognise the importance of working as a team. General waste industry experience essential.
