Full Job Description

  • Assisting and supporting the Global Tax Risk Management strategy/domain
  • Collaborating with members of the global organization to collect appropriate and relevant information for tax inquiries/requests
  • Managing the flow of information to external advisors and government auditors
  • Managing the relationships with external advisors and government auditors to control the scope, direction, and strategy of the audit
  • Conducting research and provision of detailed analysis of global tax legislative changes impacting the company
  • Partnering with local country Finance+ and Revenue and Deal Operations (RDO) teams to assist with operational tax queries from clients
  • Advising business on withholding obligations on payments made to vendors and the taxes that need to be recovered from our customers
  • Working knowledge of value added tax (VAT) obligations to be responsive to inquiries
  • Reviewing (ad hoc basis) customer and vendor contracts as well as contractual terms & conditions related to company service agreements to support order management and/or legal teams
  • Assisting with full participation in other assigned special tax projects

    Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Lawyer or Chartered Accountant or Chartered Tax Consultant
  • In-depth knowledge of international direct taxation
  • Working knowledge of global indirect taxation
  • Min 8+ years' experience in a public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred) and/or multi-national corporation (MNC) a must
  • Experience with managing and executing the international tax audit defense process, dealing with foreign tax authorities, managing outside counsel, and successful experience with negotiation and execution of audit settlement/closing agreements
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is required
  • Knowledge of US GAAP is advantageous but not a prerequisite
  • Ability to successfully lead and effectively manage a team, delegate assignments, and empower team members
  • Willingness and ability to work in a collaborative manner
  • Ability to be objective and provide clear and independent input and analysis
  • Exudes a positive and winning attitude
  • Proactive self-starter, able to work on own initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional demeanor
