SRE Engineering Specialist

This role is critical to build a highly available, robust & reliable cloud native platform for engineering teams to quickly and seamlessly deploy their microservices, thus improving the experience and efficiency of the platform's consuming teams. It is also important to build the roadmap of the platform to keep up to speed with the industry trends, ensure smooth operations with no disruption to the deployed services while providing support & guiding the consuming teams with the best practices.,

• Sharing best practices for the DevSecOps practices & setting technical direction for development, test, release, update, and support processes of the platform.


• Ensuring the platform is engineered to be secure by design', in line with the BT security guidelines, engineering solutions to security challenges of policy, decentralised controls, compliance, audit, actionable insights, and guardrails.


• Creating & using opportunities in the platform for reuse of DevSecOps assets.


• Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline).


• Implementing Zero-Ops / AI-Ops practices for the platform and ensure zero disruption to the services in Live environment.


• Leading root cause analysis for Live incidents and implement preventive/corrective measures.


• Identifying & automating processes for incidents management wherever possible.


• Review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project with keen focus to adhere to NFRs.
  
  10+ years of experience in IT with a focus on Engineering, at least 5 years in a DevSecOps Engineer role. ·


• 5+ years of experience in managing CI/CD pipelines preferably building solutions for other engineers using Jenkins/gitlab/AWS pipelines. ·


• 5+ years of work experience in building / managing cloud native and modern applications, managing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform/CloudFormation. ·


• 5+ years of experience using Docker, Kubernetes and other containerization and orchestration tools. ·


• 5+ years of experience with the common tools/technologies used in a fast-paced agile environment across all software lifecycle phases.


• 5+ years of experience implementing logging/monitoring frameworks like Dynatrace, ELK/EFK, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana. · 3+ years of experience in working on Data Integration projects.


• Expertise in using cloud platforms and their related services - preferably AWS.


• Knowledge of Data Integration tools/platforms.


• Expertise in implementing authentication mechanisms like SAML, OIDC etc. & cloud authentication services such as Azure AD.


• Proficiency in scripting languages such as bash,PowerShell etc.


• Expertise in implementing logging/monitoring frameworks like Dynatrace, ELK/EFK,CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana.
