ST1-2 Clinical Fellow in General Surgery

The Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.Clinical Fellow ST1/2 General SurgeryApplications are invited for a 12 month fixed term post of Clinical Fellow ST1/2 doctor in General Surgery which is required due to a vacancy from October 2024., The successful candidate will work within one of three teams; GI, Vascular or Breast. Together with their colleagues they will be responsible for the day to day management of their team's in-patients, perform the duties of the on-call general surgical clinical fellow (ST1/2 Level) doctor.

Clinical Care

The post holder under the direction of senior colleagues will undertake the below duties. These are not definitive and may be changed in accordance with the needs of the service.

Take a history and examine a patient

Identify and synthesize problems

Prescribe safely

Keep an accurate and relevant medical record

Manage time and clinical priorities effectively

Take part in relevant clinical procedures

Communicate effectively with patients, relatives and colleagues

Use evidence, guidelines and audit to benefit patient care
