Full Job Description
Are you an experienced Accredited Clinical Coder with a passion for clinical engagement and an enthusiasm for data validation?, The post holder will work closely with the Senior Management and Clinical Teams to deliver a robust clinical coding validation programme to achieve and maintain the highest possible quality of coded clinicaldata. The validation programme will extend across all specialties involving all clinical teams, using the ICD-10 and OPCS-4 Classification adhering to National and Local Clinical Coding Standards. Do you have a strong desire to develop your career within a supportive and friendly environment with a team working toward team excellence and where each individual's efforts are recognised?, Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
An Accredited Clinical Coder Qualification (ACC)
Have an-depth knowledge and understanding of the complete clinical coding function from ICD-10, OPCS-4, HRGs and the impact on Trust funding, Payment by Results and health care statistical data
Working expertise in ICD10, OPCS4, HRG4+, PbR and financial flows
Extensive validation experience with clinical staff
Minimum of 3 years recent experience in clinical coding/leading role in an acute hospital environment.
Evidence of substantive coding experience and expertise
