Full Job Description

At NWAS we have an exciting opportunity for an engaging administrative officer to support our workforce engagement and wellbeing agendas. This role is integral to the delivery of a positive employee experience for our staff.

The Staff Experience Officer will support delivery of our annual and quarterly staff surveys, as well as work on staff health, wellbeing and inclusion initiatives and campaigns. You will coordinate a wide range administrative tasks and activities to support the Staff Experience Team and provide project support on various programmes of work. You will be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with a staff at all levels in the Trust, as well as effectively work with external stakeholders, including suppliers and partners.

Main duties of the job

This role demands someone who is accustomed to working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment given the operational pressures in the ambulance service. You will be an effective communicator and be capable of managing your own workload.

This is an incredibly rewarding role supporting our workforce. If you are passionate about engaging staff and supporting their health and wellbeing, we'd love to hear from you.

While you will work across the Trust footprint, your base will be the Trust HQ in Bolton. This post does also benefit from Agile Working.

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.

Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed. We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.

Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.

We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
