Experience of supervising and assessing students and supporting health care assistants is desirable. Whilst a background in Palliative Nursing would be ideal, Cransley Hospice will provide the training essential to your role. We feel a passion to provide outstanding holistic nursing care that is most important to this post
We are looking for a Registered General Nurse with an understanding and interest in specialist palliative care, who can evidence their continual professional development within their existing role.
This 24 hour service requires you to be flexible to a varying shift pattern, this will include early, late and night shifts and includes rotational weekend and bank holiday working. This post is primarily at Cransley Hospice in Kettering, however there is an expectation that you may also support the team at Cynthia Spencer Hospice to meet service demand as required., Applications will be transferred to the TRAC system, by completing an application you are giving authorisation for the transfer of your data. In submitting an application form, you authorise us to confirm any previous NHS service details via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) process. Including factual reference, occupational health clearance and statutory and mandatory training records

Where appropriate the delivery of reversible symptom related treatments are a key part of this role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be required to communicate sensitively and compassionately with patients who may be approaching the end of their life.
