Full Job Description

The Unit Provides Sub Acute Care,Rehabilitation and End of Life care for the residents of Wiltshire. This is aninnovative unit with an integrated multi-disciplinary team.

Clinical leadership is provided by ateam of Consultant Nurses across the organisation, supporting the Clinical teamof Doctors, ACPs, Therapists, Nurses, Support workers and Health CareAssistants, ensuring Individual holistic care for the people we care for aswell as support for their carers and families.

Ward Leadership is provided by theSenior Sister who has a strong belief in Compassionate Leadership. Supportingand Nurturing Staff to reach their full provide the training, support and professionaldevelopment you need to become a confident, competent Registered Nurse workingin the NHS.

Delivering high standards of care within a Unit that you can beproud of.Working unsocial hours pays an additional 60% on Bank Holidays and Sundays,and an additional 30% for Saturdays and unsocial other times.

Main duties of the job

Registered Nurse, Assessing, planning,Implementing and Evaluating Nursing Care. Supervising and supporting, NursingAssociates, Junior staff, and students.

We are open to conversations aroundflexible working patterns and would consider day or night only contracts forthe right candidate.

Essential

  • First Level Registered Nurse

  • Current / live registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council


  • Desirable

    Teaching and assessing in practice qualification

    Essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Literate

  • Astute interpersonal skills and is able to deal with difficult / sensitive situations

  • Ability to prioritise and organise own workload, delegating appropriately

  • Enhanced clinical competencies, including venepuncture and cannulation for example

  • Up to date understanding of safeguarding and mental capacity legislation, Access to a vehicle that can be used for business purposes and hold a full and valid driving licence.
