Full Job Description

ETCD/SAL is looking to recruit experienced, compassionate and enthusiastic nurses to join our team

This is an extremely busy department managing the admissions and post op care for all our elective surgical patients at MRI.

We admit all elective patients and care post operatively for patients who are day case or who require 1-2 nights stay.

Patients requiring longer stay will be admitted post surgery to Critical Care or the appropropriate in patient ward

The department promotes nurse led discharge for our patients to facilitate timely discharges

You will have the benefit of working in a multi-professional team including specialist nurse, advanced nurse practitioner and therapists, so there are endless opportunities to develop your skills, knowledge and experience in this field

For newly qualified nurses the Trust has a robust preceptorship program and you will receive excellent opportunities for development. Along the way, you will be supported by in-house Clinical Educators and a named mentor who will oversee your training needs, supported by the wider divisional education team.
