Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to join our team on Ward L4 at Salford Royal Hospital. L4 is a 24 bedded, mixed gendered acute general medical ward that cares for a range of patients throughout their journeys. The team offers physical and emotional support to all patients from admission to discharge. Our aim is to improve the patient journey, by providing a safe environment for all our patients.

The acute care setting can be challenging but very rewarding. L4 is a fast paced working environment which gives staff the opportunity to use multiple transferable skills to provide the highest level of care to all of our patients. It offers amazing opportunities and provides registered nurses with the skills to care for acutely unwell patients.

We are looking for exceptional and passionate staff to join our team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work as part of a team to provide a safe, effective and efficient care environment for patients, relatives and carers. They will be responsible for assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and the setting of standards.

To assist the management of patient flow in partnership with the ward management structure, and assist in monitoring the performance.

The post holder is required to work within the NMC code of practice and professional guidelines.

To work within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care to a defined patient group, competently performing the necessary technical/invasive/physical aspects of care for this defined patient group.
