Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated staff nurse to join our team on 6D Specialist Cardiology Ward at Barts Heart Centre for 12-months maternity cover.

Ward 6D is a specialist cardiology ward, where we care for a variety of patients with cardiac problems, working collaboratively with multiple medical teams. Our caseload includes patients with congenital heart conditions, heart failure, inherited cardiovascular disease and infective endocarditis. We also look after patients post complex cardiac surgery and post structural procedures (such as TAVI and TEER). Our vision is to be a leading and innovative nursing and AHP centre providing exceptional care and patient experience. We are a dedicated, supportive and ambitious team offering excellent training and development opportunities., The purpose of this post is to provide the highest standard of individualised and holistic direct care to patients and their families, in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, to supervise and teach junior members of staff and learns as required and to maintain own personal development with support of senior staff.
