Full Job Description

Rehabilitation Units provide in-patient assessment, care and rehabilitation for adults with complex and enduring mental health difficulties who are aged 18 upwards and the length of stay will depend on progress through the pathway and appropriate risk management for service users. Our community rehab service also offers Step Down and Outreach service.The role of the Staff Nurse involves providing leadership, managing junior staff and acting as shift coordinator on the ward on a day-to-day basis; responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, documenting and evaluating programs of care along with the service user in line with the recovery model and working in accordance with the CPA process., The post holder will be responsible for a small caseload, coordinating care as a Primary Nurse/Associate Nurse where required; liaising with Care Coordinators and outside agencies; will also support the Ward manager and Deputies by monitoring clinical standards, undertaking individual projects, and supporting changes within the service. A completed preceptorship is desirable but not essential as we can provide preceptorship to newly qualified nurses.

We are looking for someone who is amiable, motivated, able to work using their own initiative and can work creatively to engage with service users who might struggle to engage. Successful candidates will commence the post as soon as possible.
