To be responsible for the assessment, delivery, implementation and evaluation of nursing care in the department without direct supervision. 2. To act as a role model to nursing staff. 3. To maintain high standards of clinical performance and take an active role in the monitoring of clinical standards. 4. To maintain confidentiality of information regarding patients, families and friends at all times. 5. To maintain legible and accurate clinical records and legal documentation. 6. To assist with the training and development of junior staff and student nurses. 7. Undertake the responsibility for the control of clinics including the early identification of problems and liase with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure necessary action is taken and evaluated.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, reliable and self-motivated registered nurse to join this busy and rewarding department. You must have a positive outlook to work and the ability to inspire and support others. You should be able to demonstrate strong leadership and excellent communication skills as you will be working closely with a wide ranging Multidisciplinary team. You will be key to ensuring that high standards of patient care are maintained. Successful applicants must have the following

  • Experience in Diabetes and Haematology in ward setting.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Clinical audit knowledge/experience.
  • Portray a professional attitude and effective communication skills at all times
  • Assist the Nurse in Charge in the management of the day to day challenges on the ward.
  • Provide high quality care for patients and visitors to the department and hospital
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the MDT
