Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Children's Nurse to join our team. We are a team committed to delivering and maintaining high quality patient care and are looking to attract nurses who share our goal. In return we will support ongoing professional development by way of full preceptorship (if required) and provide opportunities for the individual to develop their clinical skills. Working as part of a caring and passionate nursing team you will responsibly deliver planned, direct patient care to a high standard in accordance with the Trust's established nursing procedures. Leading by example you will promote the safeguarding, wellbeing and interests of all patients and their families whilst taking personal responsibility for ensuring the needs of patients are achieved. The post holder will supervise the working of Health Care Assistants and support the training and assessment of Student Nurses. Main duties of the job will include: + Measuring observations + Chaperoning + Administering medication + Facilitating efficient running of clinics + General nursing tasks + Mentoring/teaching students + Safeguarding + Leadership, South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff.   • The leadership and improvement programme aims to:
  • Explore leadership within the NHS
  • Promote Trust values and behaviours
  • Develop your leadership effectiveness and skills
  • Equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to lead and complete service improvements within the scope of your role.
  • After you complete these three and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities. We also offer further in-house courses and bitesize programmes through our Leadership and Improvement Team, It is now the policy of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who are new to the Trust who require DBS clearance for the post they have been offered, are required to pay the cost of their DBS. The method of payment for this is via salary deduction from your first month's pay.
