Senior Staff Nurse - Discharge Lounge - Secondment 9 Months - Internal Only The post holder works as a skilled practitioner and is responsible for the delivery of patient -focused programmes of care, which address the complex and changing health and wellbeing needs of the client group in his/ her clinical area., We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and flexible Registered Nurse to support the Discharge Lounge. The post holder will manage admissions into the unit from inpatient wards and support with the last day care to enable a safe discharge and promote patient flow in the Trust. 1. The post holder will Provide effective managerial and clinical leadership of ward/department staff. 2. Undertakes individual performance reviews, appraisals, identifies and implements personal development plans for junior staff. 3. Assists in the effective management of the ward/department consumables budget. 4. Complies with all Trust policies and national guidelines. 5. Deals personally with patients, families and carers in order to aid resolution of complaints. 6. Represents the ward at meetings as and when required. 7. Facilitates open and effective communication within the ward team. 8. Acts in accordance with the NMC Professional Code of Conduct. 9. Acts as a role model at all times and contributes to the provision of nursing expertise within the area of practice. 10. Pursues his/her own professional, clinical and managerial education and development in line with their personal development plan. 11. Contributes towards an environment in which individuals take responsibility for their own development.

  • Registered Nurse (Pt 1/12) ((RSCN (Pt 8) if appropriate))
  • ENB 998/Slice, C&G 730, or equivalent
  • Evidence of Leadership/Management and Speciality Development
  • Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Assessor, Significant experience of which includes work in post-qualification speciality
  • Must have recent clinical experience in speciality area
  • Experience in mentoring, facilitation, teaching, assessing, coaching
  • Desirable criteria
  • Experience of involvement in successful Change Management, You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
