Full Job Description

"Exciting times" - CWP are recruiting Band 5 nurses for Acute Care andDementia services . We have lots of career opportunities and we are situated in the heart of Cheshire with good transport to Manchester and the Peak District. We would be happy to show you round our wards and introduce you to our teams. We are looking for enthusiastic Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurses, with experience and newly qualified to offer preceptorship, to expand our existing teams. If you relish a challenge, are caring and compassionate and have a passion to help others, then we need people who share our values and vision to join inpatient services as Staff Nurses. Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) are looking to develop and strengthen our existing teams in the Macclesfield area.

You will be able to demonstrate a real enthusiasm for mental health or learning disability nursing, as well as a desire for on-going professional development. You will receive excellent training and opportunities for development, clinical supervision and appraisal. We also offer our staff training packages, development and leadership pathways and a comprehensive preceptorship program for those who are newly qualified."

CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care - including the provision of three GP surgeries. Our aim is to help people to be the best they can be, adopting a compassionate, person-centred approach to everything we do. We were recently rated as Outstanding for Caring by the Care Quality Commission with a Good rating overall. We offer a variety of roles at all levels, so whether you are just starting out in your career or looking to use your skills and experience in a new role, CWP is the right employer for you. CWP are committed to making our recruitment practices as inclusive as possible for everyone. We are committed to promoting equality and diversity and developing a culture that values differences. To support this, we offer up to three weeks induction, dependent on role, with our Prepare to Care programme for all new starters. This programme welcomes you to CWP and provides you with information and training to support you in your role. We welcome applications from people who have direct experience of accessing our services.

The ward offers a 24-hour service; therefore, the successful candidates must be able to work a full range of 12-hour shifts including night shifts and weekends. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package which includes:

  • Competitive salary based upon an incremental pay progression scheme.
  • Annual leave based upon length of NHS service. On commencement of service 35 days, after 5 years 37 days and after 10 years 41 days all are pro rata and inclusive of public holidays.
  • An excellent NHS pension scheme.
