Full Job Description

A brand new frailty building opened in 2021 comprising of three frailty wards. Top floor is frailty/orthopaedic, middle floor short stay frailty assessment unit and on the ground floor long stay general frailty unit.
We are proud of our current developing service which supports the way our frail and elderly patients are cared for. It incorporates 72 inpatient frailty beds, a front door frailty team which includes Therapists, Advanced Care Practitioners specialising in frailty, medical and nursing colleagues which supports early assessment.
The vacant post is for a registered nurses on Garway Ward. This is a 24 bedded frailty ward, Experience in caring for patients who have a diagnosis of Dementia would be useful. You will be working closely with the a wide multi-disciplinary team to provide seamless care., To facilitate multi-disciplinary patient centred care
To support and supervise new members of staff and students
On occasions accept responsibility for the management /Leadership of the ward department in the absence of senior nurse
To facilitate a safe working environment by ensuring Risk assessment updated and robust documentation is completed.
