Full Job Description

  • To maintain high standards of nursing care and ensuring that nursing objectives are achieved using a systematic approach to nursing care.
  • To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate individualised patient centred care and provide support and advice to other staff as appropriate.
  • To receive patients and their relatives in accordance with recognised policies and ensure that they are kept informed of treatment and progress.
  • To arrange the care of patient's property, in accordance with Unit policies and within the limitations of hospital responsibilities.

    As a committed and motivated individual who wishes to develop their clinical skills and knowledge within Intensive Care, you will be enrolled on our ICU development pathway and supported byour Practice Educators and team.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join the team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Royal United Hospital. We are a dynamic and progressive department that places patient cantered care at the core of its ethos.
  • Our new state of the art ICU is currently being built and we are due to move in later this year. Located on the first floor, our purpose-built ICU, boasts high-spec equipment with pendants and has large amounts of natural light. It contains four single-occupancy side rooms and six two-bedded bays, as well as two nurses' stations, offices, seminar/simulation suite and staff facilities.
