Full Job Description

To admit patients for surgery and deliver pre and post op nursing care followed by effective discharge planning for a wide range of nursing services . You will work along side a team of experienced day case nurses and clinicians who aim to deliver a safe and effective, patient focused service.
Under the supervision of the Ward Leaders, the nurse is responsible for the provision, organisation and direction of nursing care of the patients in his/her care. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that a safe, and high standard of care is provided to all patients.

+ In conjunction with senior nursing staff and specialist nurses participate in the setting/monitoring and evaluation of standards of care to patients.
+ To communicate effectively with all members of multi-disciplinary team regarding patient
care.
+ To assist with the investigation and timely resolution of complaints and PALS enquiries.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our enthusiastic team on Ward 3 (Surgical Day Case Unit). The patient centred team focus on safely admitting all surgical elective patients and recovering patient's postoperatively, leading up to their discharge home. We cover a variety of surgical specialities including ENT, breast, urology, colorectal, gynaecology, general surgery, plastics, vascular, ophthalmology and pain. As a department our nursing team deliver high standards of care, we are looking for a conscientious, reliable and energetic person to join our team.
We are looking to recruit to a 32 hour per week post, Monday - Sunday.
