Full Job Description

You will be a pivotal part of a multi-disciplinary team which includes a Psychiatrist, Occupational Therapists, Psychologist, a Registered General Nurse and support staff.
An interest in or understanding of rehabilitation frameworks is highly desirable with an emphasis on occupation and recovery focussed interventions.
We have an expectation that you will be able to work together, take responsibility, be authentic and embrace change; we will support you to develop these leadership behaviours so that you become an exceptional member of your team delivering outstanding compassionate care to our patients.
You are expected to support senior nurses and deputies in their absence which will involve making independent clinical decisions.
We expect you to be physically fit enough to complete our PMVA course (teamwork) and undertake a refresher each year. This is a post which requires you to rotate between day and night duty., Applications will be transferred to the TRAC system, by completing an application you are giving authorisation for the transfer of your data. Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust (NHFT) has a purpose built inpatient rehabilitation mental health unit for adults in Northampton at Berrywood Hospital.
We are currently looking for Staff Nurses (Band 5) to join an outstanding Mental Health Trust at Meadowbank Rehabilitation Unit. Meadowbank is a 12 bedded inpatient mental health rehabilitation unit for adult males with severe and complex mental health issues who are or would otherwise be high users of in-patient and community services. Meadowbank is an integral part of the Community Mental Health Recovery Pathway.
The team are focussed on working together and in co-production with patients to achieve the best possible outcomes to enable patients to progress towards a higher level of independence., NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible. This means many of our services can be provided at home, work or in schools. We also provide health services to various prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
