Full Job Description

It's an exciting time to join LPT as we are at the start of a five-year transformation journey to ensure we provide excellent services for patients with mental ill health and support people towards recovery and resilience. Its a challenging and fulfilling environment with multi-disciplinary teamwork at its core. For this role you would need to demonstrate effective assessment, planning, monitoring and evaluation of care given to service users. You will be providing specialised, enhanced rehabilitation and recovery interventions.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate service users care packages in line with the Care Programme. You will work collaboratively with Service Users, Families/Carers and the Multi Disciplinary Team to provide a recovery-orientated approach and to foster autonomy and help service users to take an active part in treatment decisions and support self management.

You should be motivated to work in a service that offers a recovery-orientated approach, delivering person-centred care through collaboration involvement., working patterns in line with our flexible working policy. For all substantive roles, new staff (excluding medical staff) are appointed subject to a 6-month probationary period (see Probation Policy). All jobs will require permission to work in the UK. We have an exciting opportunity for multiple vacancies across our two Acute Step Down Wards and our Rehab HDU Ward at The Willows in the Humberstone area of Leicester. Cedar, Sycamore and Maple Ward are male and female wards where service users are usually transferred from wards at the Bradgate Mental Health Unit until they can be safely discharged. We support people with severe and enduring mental health difficulties to gain or regain their confidence and skills in everyday activities which promotes a positive approach to long-term recovery. The ideal candidate will be caring, hard working and passionate about working in Adult Mental Health.
