It is an exciting time to join us at Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for Band 5 Mental Health Nurse to join us in our inpatient services.
Kentmere Ward is situated at Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal and is a 12 bedded mental health unit offering short-term recovery-based care, focused to meet the needs of individuals with mental health issues. This enables people to return to their communities, and allows them to regain their independence.
We are looking for caring, empathetic, enthusiastic individuals who have a passion to improve the lives of our patients. These roles will be to provide care and support to patients who require mental health interventions, guidance or monitoring., At LSCFT, we will support you in your personal and career development.   • The £3k Welcome Bonus package applies to this role. The bonus is only available for people who are not currently employed (or who have not been employed in the last 12 months) by any NHS provider trust in the Lancashire & South Cumbria Integrated Care System in a like-for-like role; e.g. a Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse at another Trust in the LSC ICS would not be eligible for the bonus if moving to a Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse role at LSCFT. Bank only workers for Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust are eligible for the scheme if they have not held a substantive role in Lancashire & South Cumbria Integrated Care System in the last 12 months (subject to all other terms and conditions being met). These incentives are subject to recovery clauses within the first 6 months of employment. This bonus is applicable to any successful candidate who applied from 1st July 2024 - 30th September 2024.

  • The £7k Welcome Bonus package is designed to attract and retain the very best staff in post. The amount a new starter would receive is shown in the Welcome Bonus Payment Schedule below:
  • £500 Month 2

  • £500 after 6 months of employment (counted from start date with LSCFT)

  • £1000 after 12 months

  • £1000 after 24 months
