Full Job Description
We are looking for a nurse practitioner, experienced in palliative care or a community setting, to join our Night Response team. This post will enable you to develop your skills in caring for patients towards the end of life and supporting them to be cared for in the place of their choice.
The postholder will work flexibly on the Night Response Rota, Taking calls coming into the Hospice overnight, providing generic advice, signposting and redirecting calls to other services available as appropriate. Acting as a resource and mutual support for other members of the team. You will liaise with other staff on the In Patient Unit to sustain and develop the relationship between The Princess Alice Hospice Services and the patients/families receiving palliative care support by the Hospice.
Experience in caring for patients who are terminally ill is essential. Applicants will need to have their own car, and a full driving license.As you will be visiting patients in the community, you'll need to be a car driver with full driving license.
