You must be able to demonstrate good communication skills and work closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and meet the person specification. To work as a skilled member of the theatres team, providing knowledgeable assistance to operating surgeons and surgical teams during the full intraoperative pathway. To deliver high quality patient care and the management of patients during procedures performed under general, regional and local anaesthetic. To develop skills and speciality-based knowledge to support surgical practice in Theatres following rotation plan in Theatres. To provide a high standard of compassionate patient-centred care. To lead and supervise the work of other qualified and unqualified staff within the team. To communicate effectively at all levels within the multi-disciplinary team. To be able to take charge of the given shift for a surgical operating list and a group of patients in the absence of senior nursing staff, as deemed appropriate by the Person-in-charge or Clinical Matron.
