Full Job Description
We are seeking for a number of skilled and compassionate staff nurses to join our dedicated Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services at Forest House. Forest House is a 14 bedded inpatient unit for young people suffering with emotional, behavioural and psychiatric problems. The unit offers young people a 24-hour, 7 day a week service, assessing, treating and evaluating care through a variety of therapeutic techniques, family work, individual work, group work and the day-to-day milieu. As a Staff Nurse you will have excellent communication skills, an empathetic listener and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. You will have the opportunity to lead a nursing staff team in the absence of the Charge Nurse and support the Charge Nurse / Team Leader to ensure that the service is managed effectively and efficiently in all aspects., As a Band 5 Staff Nurse, you will be expected to:
- Will work in close collaboration with other professionals in assessing service user's needs, devising care plans and evaluating outcomes that promote service user empowerment through the process.
- Participate in the assessment and treatment to provide high quality, individualised care, which addresses the needs of the service users
- Support the Charge Nurse and the Team Leader to ensure that the service is managed effectively and efficiently in all aspects
