Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our team at Rosedale Court, a 22-bed mixed open Rehabilitation unit located at 75-79 Greenford Road, Harrow, HA1 3QF. Our teams use a multidisciplinary approach to care, providing a range of nursing, medical, therapies and psychological input., Band 5 nurses work in partnership with the people who use our services, their families, friends and carers and play an important contribution in how people experience their care and relate to other people. Band 5 nurses are expected to be compassionate, responsive and approachable but professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the service provided to the people in our care:

keeping the people who use our services as safe as possible through the use of sound clinical skills and effective risk assessments;

ensuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to evidence-based policies and procedures;

empowering people through working in partnership throughout their care and treatment in the service.

Supporting the development of junior staff and improved care delivery through effective supervision and the use of reflective practice

We are looking for applicants who are able to work creatively and effectively in a busy and demanding role. The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate progressive skills in leadership, supervision, clinical practice, service development, risk assessment and care management. You must be committed to the trust values of compassion, respect, empowerment and partnership. The applicant should have a clear understanding of the importance of rehabilitation and interested in working with patients with severe and enduring mental health problems to develop their life skills, improve their independence and support them during their journey to recovery. You should have good communication skills and committed to providing person centred care with a sound knowledge of best practice.
