Staff Nurse - Same Day Emergency Care

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Staff Nurse in our dynamic Same Day Emergency Care Unit (SDEC).

Naturally, SDEC is a fast paced environment where we aim to assess, diagnose, treat and discharge patients within the same day.SDEC sees patients from a variety of specialties including Medical, Surgical, Urology and now Gynaecology has joined us. We are a 28 seated area with an additional 8 treatment chairs to give treatment to our more unwell patients.

The SDEC area is co-located within the Integrated Acute Assessment Unit and works in hand together. There will be an expectation that you work across both departments to work both days and nights. We work cohesively and there is no "I" in OUR team - we work alongside each other and together.

Successful candidates will be well-supported, and a bespoke training package will be tailored to suit individual learning needs. You will acquire a broad range of extended skills to compliment your passion for nursing including but not limited to venepuncture, cannulation and catheterisation.
