Full Job Description
The post is that of a Staff Nurse and the post holder will be expected to undertake duties within Care of the Elderly patients on Ward 20, Princess of Wales Hospital. The post holder will carry out a range of assigned tasks involving direct and indirect care for the benefit of the patient/client in accordance with agreed protocols. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures are observed, and meet Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB requirements, as well as NMC Standards and Codes of Conduct.Main duties of the job The Princess of Wales Hospital is continually striving to improve patients' experiences and outcomes. Staff are committed to your ongoing professional development and you will benefit from preceptorship and the support of an experienced and enthusiastic multi-professional team, committed to the delivery of excellent patient care. We are looking for dynamic, forward thinking and committed nurses to join our dedicated teams on Ward 20 (Care of the Elderly). The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering high quality person centred care. We have fantastic opportunities for you to develop your clinical skills and knowledge in an environment which is conducive to learning. We provide all new staff with an induction period, a 'buddy' nurse and the opportunity to join our Clinical Supervision programme.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
