Full Job Description

As part of this role you will be pivotal in leading the rehabilitation of patients, supporting with tracheostomy weaning, providing physiotherapy for level 2 patients including ICU step downs and patients requiring NIV. You will also have the opportunity to hold a small respiratory outpatient caseload.

As the respiratory band 6 you will have the opportunity to work with our band 7 Acute inpatient team lead and our respiratory clinical specialist supporting them in upskilling staff, delivering SIM training and ensuring staff respiratory competencies.

The post will be based at Lincoln County hospital and the successful applicant will join an integrated therapy team working in a team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and rehab assistants

Our team is highly focussed on supporting your development and we work hard to ensure you will receive 1:1 supervision, regular training/peer review.

All physiotherapists benefit from protected CPD time, as well as the opportunity to attend locally organised courses run by nationally accredited tutors.

The post will be full time and will work as part of a 7-day service.

All applicants must have a current HCPC registration.

Main duties of the job

To perform more advance & detailed assessments with patients having more diverse & complex conditions, providing a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.

You will be responsible for deputising for the team lead in their absence and supervising, supporting and appraising junior members of staff as-well as be a clinical educator to students

Undertake evidence based audit and research projects to further own and teams clinical practice within your speciality and make recommendations to team leader.
