Full Job Description
Working as part of a dynamic and reactive team you will be responsible for analysis and validation of metallic and composite structures for static strength to support structural repairs according to validated methods. You will ensure adherence to airworthiness regulations, relevant design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capabilities guidelines. Your primary role will be to provide stress analysis and signatory support to sub-contractor generated structural analysis work; mainly repair procedures and justification documentation.
We are a dynamic and reactive team providing structural repair support to Airbus operators and MRO's. Our goal is to provide bespoke and optimum repair solutions in response to damage reports ensuring operator schedules are maintained and aircraft downtime is kept to a minimum.
Responsibilities
- Signature support to subcontractor agencies
- Checking of repair documentation delivered from subcontractors
- In conjunction with the Repair Design and F&DT Engineers, be a member of an integrated engineering team, ensuring its strategy, policy and direction is maintained
- Must have held delegated repair stress signature for SA and LR Airbus aircraft, for SAS and TD
- Ability to communicate clearly both written and verbal to all levels of the organisation, set objectives and prioritise to time, cost and quality
- Hold or have previously held Stress approval signature for TD and SAS for metallic or composite structure
- Static analysis of aircraft structures using a range of hand and computer methods
- Ability to liaise/negotiate with Design, Customer Services and suppliers
- Ability to demonstrate excellent PC skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
