Full Job Description

Join our Finance team as a Stock Control Assistant in the Financial Control - New Goods team at the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

The role involves confirming goods received and managing stock adjustments and transfers. You'll handle high-volume data processing and manage stock portfolios for over 700 retail branches.

You'll also be the first point of contact and provide excellent customer service to our 200+ Home stores, ensuring adherence to financial processes and procedures.

Help us fund lifesaving research through your vital role in our team.

Working arrangements

This 12-month fixed-term contract is a blended role.
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

At BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average. The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

Need more help balancing your work and home life? Talk to us about what flexibility is available at the application or interview.

You are familiar with invoice processing systems, stock control, and purchase ordering. You have experience in high-volume and accurate transaction processing, working closely with stakeholders from various teams and with different levels of finance knowledge.

With intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, you have experience with accounting systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is desirable). Your strong analytical and reconciliation skills complement your accurate transaction processing abilities.

You can work independently while also contributing and collaborating as part of a team. Intellectually curious and challenging, you are proactive with a positive 'can do' attitude. You excel under pressure, prioritising work effectively and building relationships with colleagues across Finance and the wider BHF.

Every single one of us is vulnerable to the heartbreak caused by heart and circulatory diseases - they are the world's biggest killers. But the research we fund represents hope. And nothing matters more than finding cures and treatments that give us more time with the people we love.

We value and respect every individual's unique contribution, celebrate diversity, and make inclusion part of what we do every day.

Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy, Igniting Change, along with our internal EDI group, Kaleidoscope, and a growing number of employee network groups (our Affinity Groups), help us create an environment where all our colleagues and volunteers can succeed
