As a result of our rapid and continued growth, we have an immediate position available for a Stock Control Clerk to join our team here at the Wigan Distribution Centre. 40 hours per week on a rotating basis with one 30 minute break (unpaid) Thursday - Sunday 19:30 - 06:00 Job Role:

  • Control of audits of goods in paperwork to ensure process is followed, responding to account payable claims.
  • Ensuring warehouse layout is utilised efficiently within product categories including putaway algorithms and pick sequence.
  • Maximise the use of reports on report manager / JDA solutions and Oracle to keep KPI targets in line for net adjustments and full cyclical counts of the warehouse
  • Control of short dated / QA and aged stock, liaising with trading and buying teams.
  • Quality checking / Spot Checking picked pallets, within set targets and recording of information.
  • Liaising with other internal / external departments including control of offsite storage delivery and return
  • Reporting of weekly / monthly stats including participation in projects within stock control.
  • Work closely with the warehouse teams to support and grow sharing knowledge to help improve performances.

  • What you'll need on your CV Previous Warehousing experience, specifically Stock Control experience is desirable. An excellent work ethic is a must along with common sense and who is self-motivated with a 'can do' attitude. You will be able to work as an individual, or as a team player within the company guidelines.
