Full Job Description

You will support the Stock Control function by maintaining accurate records of inventory levels using computerised systems. Receiving, unloading and put away incoming deliveries efficiently and accurately. You will also;

  • Perform regular stock audits to reconcile physical stock with system records.

  • Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders as needed.

  • Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing products.

  • Organize and maintain the storage area, ensuring proper labelling and stock organization.

  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate stock movements and resolve discrepancies.

  • Assist in the implementation of inventory control procedures to optimize stock management efficiency.

  • Generate reports on stock levels, movements, and discrepancies for management review.

    We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Stock Control Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, managing stock movements, conducting regular audits, and ensuring the efficient flow of products within the company., With a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, ideally in a construction environment.

  • GCSE between A-C (Must include Maths and English) (New grading 4+)


  • · High Microsoft package literacy
  • Previous experience in a similar stock control or warehouse role preferred.

  • Proficiency in using computerized inventory management systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording stock data.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Physical ability to handle and lift heavy items if required.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues across departments.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to stock handling.
