Full Job Description
Ensure all Finished Goods, Work-In-Progress, manufactured and purchased items are maintained accurately with in the ERP system by a systematic approach. Other responsibilities are to report and analyse any discrepancies and investigate the root cause of the issue. As well as take a proactive approach of continually improving the processes involved with stock management, stock taking and cyclical counting,
- Ensure the safe storage and correct location of materials and other inventory items to minimise damage and waste.
- Monitor and report stock levels on a daily basis using a cyclical counting procedure to ensure consistency.
- Investigate, report and reconcile any significant discrepancies with products.
- Ensure that all items when counted are labelled correctly and identifiable.
- Communicate material information to relevant departments on material availability and usage and report any discrepancies.
- Discuss with the planning department, material requirements plan and any RM and WIP anomalies.
- Weekly/Yearly stock takes to be conducted and reported accordingly.
- Organise/Improve storage layout on site and off site.
- Use of computerised stock system to check and monitor stock levels.
- Liaise with Transport department reference transfer of goods between off site storage locations.
- Audit the off-loading of material and products to ensure compliance to company procedures.
- At all times work in a manner that ensures the safety of you and all others in the work area by ensuring all tasks are carried out to the Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) provided.
- Identify and report any H&S risks, using the incident report form.
- At all times, have available and use the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the tasks you are carrying out.
- At all times keep in mind the Company's Guiding Principles and Core Values.
- Work to build and maintain strong working relationships with your internal customers.
- Embrace a continuous improvement culture to a 5's level and ensure that housekeeping levels within the storage areas (both on site and off site).
- In addition to the tasks in this job description your will be expected to carry out any other task that can be reasonably expected.
- A good working knowledge of materials storage and supply
- A good standard of PC literacy
- Experience of using an ERP system
- Stock control knowledge preferable
- Able to demonstrate previous involvement in Continuous Improvement initiatives
