Full Job Description
This role involves carrying out all duties as required in the acquisition and supply of library and other resources to ensure the efficient provision of the library services; and supports the operation of library related systems to ensure smooth running of the service.,
- Carry out clerical operations associated with the ordering, receipt and invoice processing of library and other Communities and Wellbeing resources to ensure the efficient provision of services; including but not limited to supporting seasonal events such as Summer Reading Challenge.
- Undertake servicing and distribution of public library and other Communities and Wellbeing resources when required, to ensure effective resourcing across the county; including but not limited to supporting the operation of an inter-library lending service on behalf of Leicestershire Library Service.
- Prepare statistical information as required to support the effective management of the service.
- Carry out creating, importing and updating of records on library systems, as required, to ensure systems operate effectively.
- Monitoring and responding to email enquiries received from libraries, customers, internal and external partners.
- Responsible for protecting and managing information securely, and reporting breaches or suspected information breaches, in line with Council policies. - Experience of work-based computer applications.
- Experience of data-entry and a process-oriented focus, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Manages own time effectively to ensure tasks are completed and deadlines are met in order of priority.
- Communicates effectively using verbal and written means.
- Demonstrates a flexible approach to meet changing demands and business needs.
