Are you looking for a hands-on role, where you can roll your sleeves up and make an impact? A role that motivates you to engage with your customers and your Team?
We are looking for a Store Manager Designates who can deliver in a demanding yet purposeful retail environment. You need to be committed, hardworking and in return you will have the opportunity to excel and inspire. At Your Coop, we welcome people that can lead by example. You will receive full training in one of our stores. Later, you will be required to support several stores / locations within a designated District - therefore travel will be required. Due to the nature of the role you need to have a natural ability to connect with your teams and maximise their potential in a supportive and stretching way.
As a Store Manager Designate you will:

  • Take overall accountability for your store and team, ensuring great customer experience is being delivered and the highest standards are being adhered to

  • Provide excellent leadership to your team to create a high-performance culture

  • Be a positive role model for the team and advocate the co-op values

  • Lead the team to drive sales, memberships and community engagement

  • Drive people related activities such as training, development and performance, whilst still being hands on within the store when needed

  • Be actively involved with social initiatives and volunteering hours to support your local community

  • For the right candidate, we are open to offer flexible working (job share, part-time hours).

    What you'll need as a Store Manager Designate:
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle or have access to good public transport links

  • Experience within retail management - preferably in a food store setting

  • Strong leadership experience and ability to inspire teams through leading by example

  • To be customer focused - to deliver effective and efficient store experiences

  • Commercial and business acumen

  • Natural ability to listen, interact and communicate with customers and team members

  • To be self-assured, organised and able to multi-task
